Just wondered if anybody is not eating meat today because its good friday? Ill be eating no meat today, just fish. Whats everyone else doing?? ... ANYWAY Good Friday&s observances are now officially over. Lent is finished, and you can eat what you like! After the Three Hours, my Ma (staunch Anglican) always used to give a big family tea with lots of toasted hot cross buns (which were created for this occasion) dripping with butter, cream cakes, fruit cake and huge cups of ...

The church no longer enforces this rule, but it&s the way I was raised, and it&s one of the small things I do to alleviate what Catholic guilt remains after all these years .
